About Keri Hinton
Keri Hinton was born and raised in Yamhill County, along with previous generations of her family. She was appointed Yamhill County Clerk in July 2022 and was successfully elected by the voters with an overwhelming 76.82% of the vote in November 2022.
Prior to her appointment as Yamhill County Clerk she worked for Yamhill County in an Executive Administrative role for 7 1/2 years. The majority of her professional work experience started at an early age at Western Oregon Waste now known as Recology Western Oregon with a career in the solid waste industry.
Keri is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in executive administration, budgeting, information systems, and organizational management. She has a proven record of streamlining operations, fiscally responsible budgeting, optimizing financial resources, and implementing technology solutions to support strategic decision-making and enhance organizational efficiency. She is an active member of the Oregon Association of County Clerk's (OACC) and the Property Records Industry Association (PRIA) and contributes her expertise on numerous committees.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Keri is deeply invested in her community volunteering at local schools, church events, and youth sports programs, reflecting her commitment to family and the next generation of leaders. Keri and her husband Aaron live in Yamhill County along with their four children and take time to enjoy the beach, mountains, and beautiful scenery this state offers.
Her dedication, strong leadership, and passion for service make her a trusted leader as Yamhill County Clerk.
